Japanese sci-fi movies

I've recently viewed a couple of Japanese films that are visual feasts. CASSHERN is a live-action/CG hybrid in the vein of SKY CAPTAIN & THE MATRIX:REVOLUTIONS. It's a non-stop barrage of sumptuous imagery & wild ideas. The 'march of the robots' sequence is stunning.

Hi Matt,
I've watched Casshern in Singapore at a world premiere last year, outside Japan. I must agree with you that ‘march of the robots' are stunning, the juxtapositions of historical world war imagery and religious parody on the baptism of the neo-sapiens are also interesting but powerful concepts, thanks for your sharing.
