Quickies

More quick studies from Gesture Drawing Class at work.  Every week we get a great model-always someone different and they never fail to strike inspiring poses.

I've long wanted to attend a Dr. Sketchy's drawing session; a worldwide collective of burlesque drawing workshops where you can draw models in interesting attire, listen to great music and have a beer! Here are the results from Dr. Sketchy's San Francisco -

At CTN-X last month John Tucker was on hand again modelling for quick poses in the lobby.  I caught a session where he was in his redneck outfit!

There is a Dr Sketchy's in London. I went to one the other night, it was pretty good but the San Francisco one looks better.

Great work!

I was at this Dr. Sketchy's. Your drawings are great? Can you guess which pose my friend and I called "mime with indigestion?" haha.

Terrific drawings - reminds me that I was going to enquire about a local life drawing class I saw advertised. And a Dr Sketchy's too - I've always wanted to do one of those - looks like fun. Hope you're enjoying SF.

Panel #5 has some amazing studies. I especially love the expression from the woman doing her make up.

Thanks for the feedback folks. In SF I've had more opportunity to daw from a live model than anywhere I've ever lived but it looks like there's opportunities opening up elsewhere- even in North Wales! Keep sketching people!
